Calcium Aluminate Cement

Calcium Aluminate Cement

Calcium Aluminate Cement is a high-performance hydraulic binder made from high-purity alumina and calcium oxide. It features fast setting, high early strength, and excellent resistance to high temperatures and chemical corrosion, making it ideal for refractory materials and industrial applications.

  Description

Calcium Aluminate Cement (CAC), also known as High Alumina Cement, is a specialized hydraulic cement with alumina content typically ranging from 40% to 80%. It develops rapid early strength and maintains excellent mechanical performance even at elevated temperatures.

Unlike Portland cement, CAC provides superior resistance to high temperatures, sulfates, acids, and slags, making it an essential component in refractory castables, mortars, and monolithic materials.

Its controlled setting time, combined with outstanding bonding strength and durability, allows versatile use in on-site construction, furnace maintenance, industrial flooring, and environments requiring high chemical stability.

Calcium Aluminate Cement is widely used in industries such as steelmaking, cement, petrochemicals, non-ferrous metallurgy, environmental equipment, and thermal power generation.
